US 45 Effingham, IllinoisFrom MidAmerica Motorworks: Due to concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic, MidAmerica Motorworks will be cancelling Volkswagen Funfest for 2020 but will be hosting a small get together instead. Anyone who has previously registered will receive a $25 gift card as refund. Staff will be on the grounds on Saturday June 13th as we are any other Saturday for normal operations. We invite you to join us for a VW Cars and Coffee for all Volkswagen models starting at 8am CT and will be free for all who wish to stop in. If you do not feel comfortable attending, it is entirely at your discretion. The event will be held entirely outdoors with adequate space to safely maintain distance between everyone. At this time, the State of Illinois is still under the Shelter-in-Place order until May 30th. Please continue to watch our Facebook page for more information as any changes in the state regulations for June would affect us. Bugfest 2020, sponsored by the Northeast Illinois Volkswagen Association (NIVA) at Fox Valley Volkswagen, 4050 E. Main Street, St. Charles, IL. Participant judging, trophies, dash plaques, food and music. Registration for show cars, 9:00 am-12 noon is $15; Swap spaces, $25 each with set-up starting at 7:00 am. The 33nd Annual Michigan Vintage Volkswagen Festival Weekend, at Arbor Motion, 669 State Circle, Ann Arbor. Now a 2-day event! On Saturday, July 11, we'll meet at our host hotel for the slow speed slalom course to test your driving skills. A food vendor will be there to provide a source for lunch. Then a party and VW-themed movies at 5:00 pm.

Sunday, July 12 is the traditional VW car show at Arbor Motion, 669 State Circle, Ann Arbor. Spectators, $5 (active MVVC members admitted free at the gate). Car Show Registration is $15 at the gate, which includes 1-year membership or renewal in MVVC. Swap spaces (17 x 20 feet) are $15 pre-registration (by July 1, 2020) or $20 at the gate. Show Car gates open at 9:00 am; Swap entrance only will open at 7:00 am. As usual, the Show & Swap Meet will feature with food, music, an auction, raffles and door prizes at Arbor Motion. Stateline Vintage Volksfolks Vintage Picnic & Car Show if for all VWs, air- or water-cooled, rusted (sorry, I meant "patina") or restored. Event is held rain or shine - a large pavilion will protect you from rain or sun. Ten bucks enters your car in the show; registration at 9:00 am to noon. Be sure to bring a picnic lunch, blanket and lawn chairs if you like, or even an EZ-up. There's plenty of room in the park.

Labor Day Weekend: Buses Nowhere Near the Arch #35 Annual Campout in Hannibal, MO, Located in the Group Campground at Indian Creek Recreational Area on Mark Twain Lake, about 30 miles west of Hannibal, Missouri. A family-oriented camping event on an 18,000-acre lake featuring an informal VW Bus show with awards, informal parts swap meet, "site-to-site" socializing "Bus-banter," Saturday morning scenic Bus caravan through Mark Twain country, awards and door prizes on Saturday evening, campfire activities and more.
