VW’s refreshed 2021 Atlas’s MSRP is $32,565 including destination for S trim. Pay $1,900 more and this 235-hp turbo-four mill gains 4Motion all-wheel drive—a new combo for 2021. Previously, only the 276-hp V6 had AWD. All Atlases have eight-speed automatic transmissions.
Unlike the 2020 Atlas, you can order the 2.0-liter four in top-tier SEL Premium for $48,215.
Atlas interiors feature nicer digs with contrasting stitching. All trims have Car-Net telematics, forward collision warning with braking, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Move to SE with Tech and you net a power liftgate, 20-inch wheels, park-distance control, adaptive cruise control for less than $40,000. Top of the line SEL Premium R-Line is $51,215. Options include captain’s chairs, a panoramic roof and V6 towing package with more powerful alternator.
Expect the 2021 Atlas at dealers in a few months.
