March 16: VW announced it’s is rolling its ID.4 long-range battery electric vehicle to its American dealers. Dealers say VW helped them acquire special lifts for this vehicle, install charging stations and train staff to assist first-time EV owners. VW kicked off a 6,000 mile NYC to Sacramento trek in the ID.4 last weekend too.
And as VW starts selling ID.4s stateside, it announced yet another EV up its metaphorical sleeve: Project Trinity. Slated for production in Wolfsburg during 2026, VW previewed the design of a BEV sedan with a newly developed electric platform, simplified supply structure, intelligent production and capable of highly automated driving.
